Responding to a question from delegate Nguyen Minh Tam ( Quang Binh ), she stated that since 2023, school violence, especially cyberbullying, has become alarming. The female delegate asked the minister when the above situation will end and the minister's commitment to this.

The Minister thanked the delegate for his humane question with the goal of "wiping out" school violence.

He shared with educators that, more than anyone else, they always have one thing in mind: the desire to end school violence, so that every school can be a happy school - a place without violence.

However, according to the Minister, the reality is that schools are an inseparable part of society, and the walls surrounding schools are becoming increasingly fragile.

“The gap between inside and outside of school is increasingly blurred by the Internet, social networks and modern media,” Mr. Son said, adding that the problem of violence in society, especially modern society, is also becoming very complicated.

“I can say that one day there will be no more violence in schools. That will be the day when adults stop fighting, and that day children will only look at each other with loving eyes,” the Minister shared.

He pledged that the education sector will do everything possible to reduce and control school violence.

Citing statistics from the education sector's investigation, which show that up to 70% of students who commit acts of violence against others have special family circumstances such as divorced parents, or children witnessing domestic violence, or being subjected to domestic violence themselves, Minister Nguyen Kim Son affirmed that these things affect students' psychology, attitude, and behavior.

From there, the Minister of Education and Training emphasized that teaching ethics, personality, and behavior of students, a very important part lies in the family and the exemplary role of adults.

At school, he emphasized the role of control, psychological support, strengthening moral education, teaching people and positive educational activities to limit students from falling into violent behavior. "We will do this to the maximum extent," the Minister of Education and Training pledged.

Debating this content, delegate Truong Trong Nghia (HCMC) emphasized that for the career of cultivating people to be successful, there must be three pillars: State - society - family.

“When we question the minister, we are questioning the management role of the State. Each leg of the tripod has its own role and cannot be replaced,” Mr. Nghia said.

According to the delegate, talking about violence is talking about the impotence of goodness. And goodness, love, and kindness depend a lot on family and society.

Mr. Nghia cited that some developed countries have restricted students from using smartphones and social networks, because they provide users with both good and bad things, while children cannot control themselves and have proper awareness.

However, if the State sets such a policy, but families are lax, and social institutions (entertainment, media...) take it lightly, the "career of cultivating people" cannot succeed.

Therefore, Mr. Nghia suggested that the National Assembly should have a resolution calling for the role of organizations, individuals in society and families, in addition to the role of the State, to be extremely important.

He also cited that televisions have a function for parents to control programs according to age, but in reality, not many parents have used this feature to control their children.

Agreeing with the delegate's point of view, Minister Nguyen Kim Son affirmed that there cannot be quality education without good coordination between schools, families and society.
