(Dan Tri) - The art program "Hello Show" takes the audience to explore the cultures of the three regions of the North, Central and South with impressive musical performances.

Recently, the art program Chao Show held a performance in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting the attention of many audiences.

Throughout the program are 12 musical chapters imbued with the spirit of folk music , composed and arranged by musician Tran Manh Hung - one of the most successful musicians of modern Vietnamese instrumental music.

Musician Tran Manh Hung said he composed the music for the show five years ago. However, due to Covid-19, the project had to be delayed several times.

When starting the production, the production team also faced many challenges. The musical instruments were ordered to be crafted by ethnic artisans, and had to go through a difficult transportation process from the village by cart before being brought to the city.

The program lasts 90 minutes, in which stories of nature and Vietnamese people through 100 years of history are told through music, through 30 traditional musical instruments such as monochord, zither, bamboo flute, T'rung, gong, leaf horn, lithophone...

In each performance, the audience discovers and enjoys unique cultural nuances: the elegant and ancient North; the profound and lyrical Central; the liberal and joyful South.

The organizers added that most of the artists performing at the show are music conservatory lecturers. Before the show premiered in Ho Chi Minh City, musician Tran Manh Hung and his crew spent two months practicing to master various traditional musical instruments.

A unique feature of Chao Show is the combination of music, images and typical cuisine of each region, so that viewers can simultaneously listen, see and taste unique delicacies from the North, Central and South.

The art program also combines 3D sound technology, lighting, and LED screens, enhancing the visual and auditory experience for the audience.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter at the show on the evening of March 16, audience member Trinh Ho (37 years old, HCMC) expressed her excitement while watching the music night.

"This is the first time I have enjoyed an art program with melodies of many traditional ethnic musical instruments. The performances following the S-shaped length of Vietnam are interesting, helping me understand more about the culture and spirit of the regions," said Ms. Trinh.

However, some audiences also suggested that the program's organizers adjust the duration and space to suit the needs of local audiences and international visitors.
