(NLDO) - Lack of land and housing funds to resettle households greatly affects compensation work and progress of site handover for projects.


The Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City has just proposed to the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee a number of contents to ensure land fund and resettlement housing when the state reclaims land in the city.

According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, one of the main causes and the biggest difficulty facing localities today is the lack of land and housing to resettle households, which greatly affects compensation, support, resettlement, as well as the progress of handing over project sites.

The North Bank of Doi Canal project arranges resettlement in 8 different residential land and housing areas in District 8, Binh Tan District, Tan Phu District and Binh Chanh District.

In which, propose to establish and implement resettlement projects or report and propose other solutions to ensure sufficient land fund and resettlement housing for projects in the area before carrying out land acquisition.

In addition, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment proposed to assign the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to report and submit to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to issue regulations on procedures for establishing and implementing resettlement projects to unify for local implementation.
