Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Thuy - owner of Hoang Khanh spring roll facility (Tan Thanh commune, Lai Vung district) - said that the facility increased its capacity 2-3 times compared to the same period, the number of hired workers also increased, the machines ran day and night to supply enough goods because customers bought more.

According to Ms. Thuy, this facility produces 12 products such as: sour sausage, spring rolls, cinnamon sausage, minin pork skin sausage, tangerine sausage...

In addition to selling on-site, the product is also distributed to stores in many localities and expanded sales through social networks.

“Although production has increased, the products are still guaranteed to be of good quality and safe so that customers can feel secure in choosing Lai Vung spring rolls for their own use and as gifts for relatives,” Ms. Thuy affirmed.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - owner of Ngoc Xe dried fruit production facility ( Phu Tho commune, Tam Nong district) - said that people in the craft village produce all year round, but Tet is still the main season because the volume of goods shipped is many times higher than usual.

“Around the beginning of October, we started to increase production to prepare for Tet goods. On average, the facility processes 1,000 kg of fresh fish of all kinds per day, then increases by 500 - 800 kg per day depending on the situation,” said Mr. Dung.

Besides popular Tet specialties such as spring rolls and dried meat, unique handmade products such as scarves and mats are also in high demand.

Therefore, traditional craft villages in Dong Thap such as scarf weaving in Long Khanh A commune (Hong Ngu district) and mat weaving villages in Dinh An and Dinh Yen communes (Lap Vo district) are also busy producing goods to supply the Tet market with diverse and attractive designs.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chieu - owner of Kim Chieu scarf weaving facility (Long Khanh A commune, Hong Ngu district) - said that this Tet holiday the number of orders increased by 30 - 40% due to the high demand for serving tourists .

“Since the shawl weaving village was recognized as a national heritage, the locality has established a cooperative to display products, attracting a regular number of tourists to visit, shop, and learn about the village,” Ms. Chieu added.
