Bullet holes at US Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign office in Arizona

The Hill newspaper reported on September 25 that police are investigating a shooting at the campaign office of US Vice President Kamala Harris and Democratic congressional candidates in Arizona.
The incident occurred after midnight on September 23 (local time) when shots hit the Democratic National Committee campaign office in the city of Tempe. The incident occurred just days before Ms. Harris planned to campaign in Arizona on September 27.
Temple police are investigating the incident. No one was in the office at the time of the incident and officers have cordoned off the area to investigate.
"We are grateful to Tempe police for their quick response to the incident and fortunately no one was present or injured," said Sean McEnerney, campaign manager for the Arizona Democratic Party.
Harris’s campaign most recently held a campaign event in Tempe in late August to rally support for gun-control advocate Maxwell Frost. Harris did not attend that event. She last visited Arizona in early August.
Gun violence has become a hot topic for Harris as a presidential candidate. In an interview last week, she made headlines when she said she would shoot an intruder in her home.
Tempe police said this was the second incident of criminal damage at the office. Shortly after midnight on September 16, the front windows of the office were shot with what appeared to be pellet guns. Ms. Harris’s campaign has not commented on the latest incident.
