(NLDO) - Before the math exam, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu (75 years old) held her granddaughter's hand tightly to encourage her spirit before confidently getting in the car to go home.

On the afternoon of June 26, candidates took the second exam - math, with a duration of 90 minutes.

At the Trung Vuong High School exam site (District 1), although the exam papers were not distributed until 2:20 p.m., a large number of candidates were present by 1 p.m. Amidst the tense atmosphere of the 2025 high school graduation exam, a family of three generations took their students to the exam together, leaving many people impressed.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu from Binh Duong came to Ho Chi Minh City to support her niece.

Sharing with reporters, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu (75 years old) said that she did not mind the long distance, and took a bus from Binh Duong to Ho Chi Minh City with her husband to support her granddaughter Nguyen Dinh Thanh Thao.

Before the exam, Mrs. Thu held her granddaughter's hand tightly and told her to stay optimistic, after the exam she would be able to relax with her friends. Immediately after successfully "replenishing" her, Mrs. Thu and her husband hurriedly got in the car to return to Binh Duong.

"Thu is the oldest granddaughter in the family and also the first grandchild to take the 2025 high school graduation exam. That's why my husband and I had to be there with her on this exam day. The family hopes that she will be calm and confident in doing the test. We are very proud of this little grandchild," said Mrs. Thu.

Candidate Thanh Thao expressed that she feels very lucky and happy to have the support of her family, especially her grandparents.

"My grandparents live all the way in Binh Duong, I was worried about the long journey, but they said they wanted to witness the moment I entered the exam room. This morning, after finishing the first subject, my grandparents were very excited, even happier than me" - Thao said with a smile.

HCM City candidates confidently enter the second exam

Sharing before the math exam, Dang Trung Nguyen, a student at the District 1 Continuing Education Center, said that he did quite well in literature and was confident of getting over 7 points. He did not feel much pressure in math. He plans to apply for block C00 to university, majoring in law or public relations.

According to the HCM City Department of Education and Training, 276 students of the 2018 General Education Program skipped the exam in the literature subject. At the 2006 General Education Program testing sites, 797 candidates registered to take the exam, none of them skipped the exam, reaching a rate of 100%.
