Bomb over 1 meter long found in residential area in Quang Tri

According to the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command, the bomb was a remnant of the war discovered during the construction of an electric pole system. The bomb was located in a densely populated area of Mai Xa village.

More than 10 days ago, a bomb weighing about 500kg was also discovered by a group of workers while constructing a project in Cam Due commune, Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh .

Specifically, on the afternoon of October 7, when the construction unit was digging the edge of the Ngan Mo River near Cho Vuc Bridge (Phuong Tru Village, Cam Due Commune), they suddenly discovered the bomb. The bomb was about 1.5m deep underground, rusted on the outside.

Upon receiving the news, the local authorities sealed off the area and maintained the status quo while waiting for the authorities to handle the situation. According to local residents, in 2020, a bomb of similar size, weighing about 400 - 500kg, was also discovered in this area.
