DNVN - Finance, accounting and auditing are important pillars that shape and promote the economic development of each country and region. In the current context, developing innovative financial solutions will help solve common challenges that countries are facing and promote sustainable economic development.

At the "Asia- Pacific Dialogue" forum organized by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) on May 28 in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Finance Vo Thanh Hung said that Asia- Pacific continues to emerge as a dynamic center, maintaining a high economic growth trend compared to the world and new steps in regional cooperation with over 350 free trade agreements (FTAs) signed by countries in the region with each other and with partners outside the region.

However, along with that strong development, this region has also become the focus of geopolitical strategic competition, with many potential risks of conflict outbreaks, threatening peace and stable development of the region.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that finance, accounting and auditing are important pillars that shape and promote the economic development of each country and region. Building a solid foundation for economic cooperation and sustainable development requires consensus and joint efforts from countries in the region.

In the current context, cooperation in research and development of innovative financial solutions will help address common challenges facing countries in the region and promote sustainable economic development.

Therefore, the Deputy Minister believes that promoting cooperation between countries in the fields of finance, accounting and auditing will not only improve the efficiency of financial management, share resources and promote the training of high-quality human resources, but also create favorable conditions for sustainable economic development.

In addition, perfecting the legal framework and improving human resources capacity in accounting and auditing based on international practices is an essential requirement in the process of economic integration and development of each country.

“We need to support each other, share experiences and learn from each other to ensure that we all meet international standards and can work together to build a healthy and transparent business environment.

It is necessary to develop training programs that meet international standards and the practical needs of the labor market, ensuring that practicing accountants and auditors are equipped with the necessary professional knowledge and practical skills. At the same time, it is necessary to encourage cooperation between training institutions and businesses and international organizations to share experiences and learn advanced training methods," the Deputy Minister said.

Ms. Helen Brand - ACCA Global CEO expressed her impression of the Government's serious and systematic intention to build the accountancy profession in Vietnam, and the way Vietnam supports international standards and legal frameworks. This includes the establishment of national professional bodies, helping Vietnamese accountants achieve the highest professional standards. ACCA is proud to have contributed to the many partnerships that make this national progress possible.

ACCA is available to serve at all levels of business – from small and medium-sized enterprises to large multinational corporations – and advises Governments, public bodies and organisations of all types – on how to make good decisions, maximise value for money and promote public trust...

Mr. Pulkit Abrol - Director of ACCA Asia - Pacific said that the "Asia - Pacific Dialogue" forum provides unlimited opportunities for the business and financial community in the region to share knowledge and explore innovative solutions to contemporary challenges.

“By facilitating these important discussions, we equip professionals with the ability to drive positive change, enhance sustainability and embrace digital transformation, thereby contributing to the growth of the Asia-Pacific economy,” said Pulkit Abrol.

The Asia Pacific Dialogue is a landmark event, attracting a wide range of professionals, academics and managers in the fields of management, finance, accounting and auditing from across the Asia Pacific region.
