New movie about police: Vinh Xuong continues to be the 'villain boss'

The film is imbued with current events, vividly reflecting one of the major policies of the Party and State, which is to bring regular police to the communes, in the context of operating a two-level local government.

After consecutive successes in political films, bearing the mark of the security industry such as “Brain Battle,” “Borderless War,” “Space Time,” director, Meritorious Artist Nguyen Danh Dung continues to challenge himself with a new film called “With you, there is peace.”

The film revolves around the journey of Huy - a district police officer who is promoted to the commune, where he faces very different difficulties when he often has to stand between two boundaries: Reason and emotion; where he must always keep a "cool head" to handle work "reasonably" but also have a "warm heart" to make everything "understandable."

The film is deeply rooted in current events, vividly reflecting one of the major policies of the Party and State, which is to bring regular police to the communes. From there, the audience has a close-up, realistic view of the lives and work of soldiers who stick to the grassroots.

Commune police officers are not only simple law enforcers, but sometimes also psychologists who answer all questions to help violators understand right and wrong, and overcome the consequences they have caused in a reasonable and sympathetic manner.

By telling an engaging story that is both touching and profound but also mixed with a bit of light humor, director Danh Dung has succeeded in "softening" a political topic, turning macro issues into a close story, touching emotions, helping viewers understand more deeply the silent sacrifices of the communal police force in particular and the people's police officers in general.

Another thing to look forward to about this movie is its cast of famous and talented actors.

After his resounding success with his roles in “Dau Tri” and “Doc Dao,” artist Vinh Xuong continues to affirm his position as a “villain boss” with the role of Bang, a scheming, violent man hiding behind the perfect cover of a successful businessman.

Actor Tuan Tu will have a transformation in the role of Huy, a police officer. He admitted that he was under a lot of pressure, especially since this was the first time he played a police officer, and it was a multi-dimensional and complex role.

In other roles, regardless of main or secondary characters, long or short roles, the audience will be surprised to see the participation of attractive faces, including veteran artists such as People's Artist Bui Bai Binh, Meritorious Artist Thanh Quy, Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh, Meritorious Artist Ba Anh, Meritorious Artist Thai Son... to young actors such as Le Bong, Tuan Anh, Gia Huy...

The film airs at 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday on VTV1, starting January 29./.
