According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan, Quang Nam has recently received many support projects from World Vision. These programs and projects have helped people in disadvantaged areas, especially ethnic minority and mountainous areas, to have more livelihoods, contributing to the goal of sustainable poverty reduction.
Mr. Tran Anh Tuan said that Quang Nam is making efforts to implement solutions to create motivation in poverty reduction, especially the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, ensuring stable housing for poor households. The local government has been and is continuing to call for support resources from organizations and individuals to join Quang Nam in building charitable houses, in the general spirit of the Government .
To promote the cooperation process and support disadvantaged localities, Mr. Tran Anh Tuan suggested that World Vision continue to coordinate and closely implement with Quang Nam in improving the effectiveness of projects to support people's livelihoods; limit project delays, affecting the investment and support process between related parties.
In the coming time, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan hopes to have coordination and organize a specialized working program between Quang Nam and World Vision to discuss more about project implementation, especially reviewing and proposing specific tasks that need appropriate support.
Ms. Vu Thi Nga - Director of Regional Program Operations of World Vision in Vietnam highly appreciated the spirit of cooperation, as well as the attention and facilitation of Quang Nam in the activities of World Vision in the past time. At the same time, she said that in 2024, the organization implemented 4 livelihood support projects in mountainous areas with good results and disbursement.
According to the plan, in 2025, World Vision will continue to coordinate and implement new projects, with priority given to disadvantaged communities and ethnic minority areas. For the implementation process to be effective, Ms. Nga hopes to continue to receive attention and support from the authorities of Quang Nam province.
World Vision will continue to make efforts, prioritize planning and closely coordinate with localities in reviewing people's needs. In particular, focusing on outstanding and urgent issues to have new suitable projects, effectively implement, contributing to promoting the common development of disadvantaged communities...
It is known that in Quang Nam, from 1997 to present, with the support of World Vision, many programs, projects and non-projects have been implemented in most localities in the province. Specifically, the program for natural disaster mitigation, emergency relief and overcoming the consequences of storms; projects on renewable energy and clean energy; regional development programs, livelihood transformation... with support funds of billions of VND.
