Summary of ethnic, belief and religious work in the first 7 months of 2025

On the afternoon of August 8, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions held a conference to review ethnic, belief and religious work in the first 7 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last months of 2025.

There are currently 32,499 ethnic minority households in the province, with 138,946 people (accounting for 6.47% of the province's population).

In recent times, Party committees and authorities at all levels have always paid attention to leading, directing, thoroughly grasping, and promptly implementing policies and guidelines on ethnic affairs, beliefs, and religions, especially organizing activities on the occasion of holidays and Tet of ethnic minorities and important holidays of religions. Thereby, contributing to strengthening the trust of ethnic minorities, religious organizations and followers in the leadership of the Party and the management and administration of the State.

Religious activities in the area are stable and comply with legal regulations. The organization and apparatus of the advisory agencies implementing ethnic, belief and religious work at the provincial and district levels are arranged, consolidated and put into operation to ensure compliance with the policies of the Central Government and the province.

The conference deployed key directions and tasks for the last months of 2025; including continuing to well implement ethnic policies; focusing on and improving the effectiveness of inspection and supervision of the implementation of policies, programs and projects in ethnic minority areas; promptly allocating the remaining 2025 career capital; speeding up the implementation progress and disbursement of capital for the implementation of the National Target Program on socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in 2025, striving to disburse 100% of the 2025 capital plan and the assigned capital plan for the 2021-2025 period; well implementing policies for prestigious people in ethnic minority areas and policies on preserving and promoting national cultural identity.

Develop plans and organize visits and congratulations to religious organizations in the province on important holidays of religious organizations; coordinate with relevant departments, branches and People's Committees of communes and wards to advise competent authorities to consider and resolve requests from organizations and individuals related to beliefs and religions; implement organizational arrangements and staffing after the merger in accordance with the practical situation of the locality and unit.
