Tanzania hopes that investment, trade and people-to-people exchange cooperation between the two countries will continue to develop.

At the ceremony, Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen conveyed the greetings of Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son to Tanzanian Foreign Minister January Jusuf Makamba.

The Ambassador expressed his honor to be appointed as Vietnamese Ambassador to Tanzania, affirming that he will do his best to contribute to developing the traditional friendship between the two countries more strongly for the benefit of the people of both countries, and at the same time proposed future directions to strengthen and expand cooperation between the two countries in many fields, especially political relations, economic - trade relations and cooperation in multilateral forums.

On this occasion, the Ambassador hoped that Tanzania would soon open a representative office in Vietnam; at the same time, soon implement the signing of a number of cooperation agreements to create favorable conditions for businesses of the two countries.

Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen presented Tanzanian Foreign Minister January Jusuf Makamba with a lotus painting from Vietnam.

Minister January Makamba congratulated Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen, believing that during his term the Ambassador will make many positive contributions to the relationship between the two countries; affirmed that he will closely coordinate with the Ambassador to help him successfully complete his assigned tasks.

Minister Makamba emphasized the traditional friendship between the two Parties and two States; shared many similarities in ideology; hoped that in the coming time, with a good political foundation, investment cooperation, trade and people-to-people exchange between the two countries will continue to develop.

The two sides agreed to promote the effective implementation of bilateral cooperation plans in the coming time, including plans to exchange delegations, especially high-level delegations, thereby enhancing cooperation in various fields. They hoped that the two countries would take concrete steps to further strengthen their friendship and cooperation, especially in the context of the two countries celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in early 2025.
