The training course was attended by 30 trainees who are agricultural extension officers from the Agricultural Extension and Environment Centers of regions XI, XII, XIII, XV, along with representatives of cooperatives and farming households from Vinh Thong and Bach Thong communes.
At the training course, trainees were equipped with an overview of the domestic and international medicinal market; the role and potential of products grown under forest canopy in economic development associated with environmental protection and biodiversity. In addition, contents such as: market demand analysis, product orientation, identifying target customers; building brands associated with raw material areas; product communication skills; methods of connecting businesses, cooperatives and distribution systems... were also introduced and discussed enthusiastically.
In particular, the practice of building a communication plan and simulating product consumption linkage activities between farmers - cooperatives - enterprises helped students have a practical view, increasing the ability to apply to local production and business activities.
The training course is a practical activity to improve the capacity of agricultural extension staff and producers, contributing to promoting the development of a sustainable medicinal product value chain under the forest canopy. On this occasion, the trainees went on a field trip to the medicinal plant growing area at Quynh Trang Cooperative and BK Foods High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative.
