Tay Ninh: Granting level 2 electronic identification to foreigners on both Saturday and Sunday

After 4 weeks of implementing the peak period of granting level 2 electronic identification to foreigners living, working and studying in the province, Tay Ninh Provincial Police received and processed 759 applications for account registration in accordance with regulations.

Police carry out procedures to issue electronic identification to foreigners

From July 1 to August 19, 2025, Tay Ninh Provincial Police will deploy a 50-day peak period to issue level 2 electronic identification for foreigners living, working and studying in the province.

The activities are carried out continuously, including Saturdays and Sundays, to create maximum convenience for people and effectively implement the plan of the Ministry of Public Security .

According to the provisions of Clause 4, Article 40 of Decree No. 69/2024/ND-CP of the Government , dated June 25, 2024, regulating electronic identification and authentication: Identification accounts created by the National Public Service Portal and the administrative procedure settlement information system at the ministerial and provincial levels are only valid until June 30, 2025.

Therefore, granting level 2 identification to foreigners is an urgent requirement, making it easier to carry out administrative transactions, online public services, procedures related to immigration, residence and other digital utilities in Vietnam.

During the peak period, the Immigration Department of Tay Ninh Provincial Police developed a detailed plan, increased propaganda work, and arranged adequate staff and equipment to receive and process applications quickly and professionally.

After 4 weeks of implementation, the unit received and processed 759 applications for level 2 electronic identification accounts for foreigners, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Tay Ninh Provincial Police encourage foreigners who need electronic identification to take advantage of this peak period to register, even on weekends.
