On the morning of August 2, Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital (BUH), Dak Lak province held a ceremony to celebrate the birth of 500 in vitro fertilization (IVF) babies at the My Duc Buon Ma Thuot IVF Support Unit under the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital.

This is an important milestone marking a journey of more than three years of effort, accompanying infertile couples throughout the Central Highlands region. Each baby born is the result of the efforts and dedication of the medical team, and the happiness after many years of waiting, hope and perseverance of infertile families.

The event was held to express gratitude to families who have chosen IVF My Duc Buon Ma Thuot, and to spread motivation and confidence to couples who are learning about infertility treatment .

Established in March 2022, IVF My Duc Buon Ma Thuot was built according to the technology transfer model from the IVF My Duc System - My Duc Hospital , Ho Chi Minh City. After more than three years, the unit has received 20,622 infertility examinations; accompanied 3,291 couples on their journey to find children; performed 1,128 IVF cycles; performed 1,489 frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycles; performed 112 intrauterine insemination (IUI) cycles and the success rate of FET cycles was 57.6%.

Speaking at the celebration, specialist doctor II Vo Minh Thanh, Director of Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, said: “The hospital's reproductive support unit was established with the desire to help infertile couples access effective treatment locally, reducing the burden of costs and psychology.

From the beginning, the staff was sent for intensive training at My Duc Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, one of the leading units in the country in reproductive support, along with investment in a modern and synchronous equipment system. Today's milestone is a remarkable result for the hospital's continuous efforts to accompany infertile families in the Central Highlands in finding happiness."

Not only focusing on expertise, Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital also demonstrates social responsibility through the program " Nurturing Happiness ", supporting the cost of in vitro fertilization for families in difficult circumstances. In the period of 2024-2025, the program has supported more than 2 billion VND for 19 eligible couples to participate.

After more than three years of establishment, 500 babies were born as a result of the combination of modern medicine with the dedication of the medical team, doctors and the trust of infertile couples in the Central Highlands on the journey to find happiness. IVF My Duc Buon Ma Thuot is gradually realizing the dream of becoming parents for infertile couples in the Central Highlands, where the journey of happiness begins right in their homeland.
