In December, Vu Dinh Duan will conquer the 33rd SEA Games with the Vietnamese Aquathlon (combined swimming and running) team. At the 32nd SEA Games, this athlete (athlete) born in 1997 won a bronze medal in the Aquathlon team event with teammates Nguyen Hoang Dung, Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen and Hoang Van Hai.

Before the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand at the end of the year, Vu Dinh Duan competed in the Sprint Aqua Warriors event (750m swim, 5km run) at the Aqua Warriors Quang Tri tournament on the morning of August 2.
Finally, the athlete from Quang Ninh excellently finished first with a time of only 32 minutes and 58 seconds, nearly 2 minutes ahead of the runner-up Tran Dinh Tau.
Sharing after winning the Sprint Aqua Warriors, Vu Dinh Duan said: “The weather today was very harsh. That made it difficult for me in the running competition. As for the swimming competition, the waves were calm, the water flowed smoothly, so it was quite supportive for the athletes to compete.
In training, I usually practice at shorter distances and have never competed in this distance before. I rate my performance today as quite good."
Dinh Duan believes that his good performance at the Aqua Warriors Quang Tri tournament will help him be more confident heading into the SEA Games: “In December in Thailand, winter is quite similar to the weather in the Central region of Vietnam.
Therefore, competing in this tournament is also a good opportunity for me to experience the competition weather in Thailand. Our training intensity before the SEA Games is very intense. Only then can I keep up with my performance before the big tournament.

We can practice two or three shifts a day. We can swim in the morning and run in the afternoon, or swim in the morning, cycle at noon and run in the afternoon.
Commenting on the Aqua Warriors Quang Tri tournament, Dinh Duan said: “I appreciate tournaments for the community. It helps everyone improve their sports training movement.”
Dinh Duan feels regretful for not being able to attend the Aqua Warriors tournament in Van Don this September. At that time, the 28-year-old athlete is busy with the national team training for the SEA Games. He hopes to change the color of the medal to bring success to the Vietnamese sports delegation.
