(HNMO) - On the evening of June 5, the highlight match of round 11 of V.League 2023 between Thanh Hoa Club and Hanoi Police Club took place at Thanh Hoa Stadium.
The clash between the two teams in the top 3 of the table quickly became exciting right after the opening whistle. The top team Thanh Hoa FC only took 20 minutes to organize an attack to penetrate the visitors' defense. In the 20th minute, receiving a high cross from the left wing, Lam Ti Phong squeezed between two Hanoi Police defenders to head the ball into the net of goalkeeper Le Giang, putting Thanh Hoa in the lead. After conceding the goal, Hanoi Police players tried to put pressure to find a chance to score an equalizer.
In the 37th minute, from a set piece on the left wing of Hanoi Police, the ball was hung into the penalty area for foreign player Gustavo Henrique to head the ball dangerously, making it impossible for goalkeeper Thanh Diep to block, bringing the match back to the starting line. Just 3 minutes later, still from an attack on the left wing by Hanoi Police, Van Hau crossed the ball deep inside for Van Thanh to run in and cushion the ball, hitting the post and rolling into Thanh Hoa's net, raising the score to 4-1. The score was maintained until the end of the match.
Winning a big 4-1 victory right on Thanh Hoa FC's field, Hanoi Police got 21 points, this result helped Van Thanh and his teammates only 1 point behind their opponent on the rankings.
