The steppe is both poetic and majestic, as beautiful as a 'fairyland' in Ha Giang

Suoi Thau grassland ( Ha Giang ) makes tourists linger because of its wild beauty, both poetic and majestic.
At this time, Suoi Thau grassland (Ha Giang) is one of the destinations attracting a lot of tourists , thanks to the poetic scenery in the autumn days: corn fields, green rice fields, buckwheat flowers starting to bloom, fog and a sea of clouds. Suoi Thau is likened to "Swiss grassland in the heart of Ha Giang" or "a fairyland in fairy tales".
This grassland is located about 5km from Coc Pai town, Xin Man district, Ha Giang province and at an altitude of over 1,200m above sea level. Mr. Uy, a tourist from Hanoi, just had a "super short" trip of only 3 days and 2 nights to Ha Giang to see Suoi Thau with his own eyes (September 13-15). "Although I was busy with work, I was so fascinated by the photos of this grassland that I decided to go right away," said Uy.
On the night of September 13, Uy got on a bus from Hanoi and arrived in Ha Giang city at 4am. After resting for a few hours, at exactly 7am, Uy rented a motorbike and found his way to Suoi Thau with his friend. The distance was about 140km. "Provincial Road 177 was under construction, so I had to drive around the mountain road, which was quite small and bad, with many potholes, making it difficult to move. At 2:30pm, I arrived at Suoi Thau," Uy said.
However, that day the weather was rainy, the road was slippery and muddy, and the clouds were thick. Uy was a bit disappointed. He found a coffee shop to rest. "Luckily, by 4pm the rain stopped, the fog gradually cleared, and the sun came out. I had about an hour to admire the dreamy, colorful steppe," Uy shared.
Uy stayed nearby for a night with the hope of continuing to the steppe the next morning. However, the weather was not favorable so he regretfully returned, changing his schedule to visit Phung village, Thong Nguyen and then return to Ha Giang city.
Suoi Thau still retains its wild, rustic beauty. Each season, the steppe has its own impressive scenery. In spring, canola flowers bloom. In summer, the green of corn fields and rice fields makes visitors feel extremely cool. Autumn is the time of transition: the rice ripens into gold, the first buckwheat flowers bloom, creating a gentle, poetic feeling. In winter, visitors can admire the buckwheat fields interspersed with rows of tall trees in the middle of the vast steppe.
Currently, the total planned land area of the Suoi Thau village grassland is 146 hectares, including land belonging to the administrative boundary of Coc Pai town and land belonging to the administrative boundary of Nan Ma commune. Visitors should note that this area is still a wild grassland, without many services and amenities.
