Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh offers incense at martyrs' graves at the A1 National Martyrs' Cemetery.

Built in 1958 and repaired and upgraded many times, the A1 National Martyrs Cemetery is about 100m south of the A1 Hill Historical Relic Site. It is the resting place of 644 soldiers who fought heroically and sacrificed their lives in the historic Dien Bien Phu Campaign in 1954.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and members of the delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers, bowing before the souls of the heroes and martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed on the heroic land of Dien Bien Phu.

70 years ago, under the wise leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh - National Liberation Hero, World Cultural Celebrity, our army and people fought bravely, carried out the decisive battle of Dien Bien Phu, won a decisive victory, and brought our nation's resistance to complete victory.

The Dien Bien Phu victory will forever be an immortal heroic epic - "A shining golden milestone" in the history of our nation and our country, with great significance and strong impact on the movement for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress in the world.

70 years have passed, but the significance and historical lessons of the Dien Bien Phu Victory have always been a strong driving force to empower our entire Party, people and army to promote revolutionary heroism in the cause of national construction and defense, striving to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, building a strong and prosperous country, with a prosperous and happy people.
