Continue to implement emergency response plan for coastal landslides

DNO - At noon on January 2, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh inspected, visited and encouraged units that are urgently handling coastal landslides in Phuoc My ward (Son Tra district).

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee requested units to overcome difficulties in weather conditions and continue to implement temporary plans to urgently handle coastal landslides.

At the same time, it is recommended to consult experts and scientists on the situation and developments of landslides as well as find appropriate solutions to preserve the beautiful beach and ensure absolute safety for residents and tourists.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh also informed that the city has also directed localities and relevant units to repair damage on the sidewalk east of Nhu Nguyet Street and clean up the environment, ensuring the landscape.

Hai Chau District People's Committee directed cleaning and managing parking in the area under Thuan Phuoc Bridge, creating a civilized area like Tran Thi Ly Bridge.

According to the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Beaches, after 2 days of emergency handling of the landslide at My Khe Beach, the situation has initially stabilized. However, more forces need to be deployed to stabilize the landslide area, which is about 150m long.

A military unit has contacted to conduct a survey and will support about 100 soldiers to increase the force participating in emergency landslide response at My Khe beach area.
