"Initial verification results determined that the child's bruised cheek was due to a fall at the daycare center, there was no child abuse. The child is currently being treated for an intestinal disease at the hospital," the leader of Buon Ma Thuot City Police added.

According to the People's Committee of Tan Lap Ward, the daycare center was established by a woman who rented a house and took care of a number of children.
