The UK-based newspaper is bringing its in-depth journalism back to print, designed and published as a “book magazine” and sold in selected UK stores. It will be sold as The Guardian Long Read Magazine. The newspaper’s longform articles have long been broadcast as podcasts.

In this issue you'll find information about humanity's war on Japanese knotweed, the disappearance of fish and chip shops across Britain and Durex's long-standing effort to create sexy condoms.
The newspaper said it has received numerous requests to publish a similar publication over the years.
“We know that for many people, including myself, when reading long, compelling works, reading in print, without the distraction of a phone, is still the most satisfying reading experience,” said Chris Clarke of the Guardian. The initial print run is expected to be 6,000 copies, with an estimated price of $16 each.
The Guardian is a newspaper, but most of you who read it probably read it online. The platform is important, but even as traditional newspapers move online, they still practice a type of journalism that is considered the purpose of print.
In addition, experts say, “long-form” articles will be written in a detailed and engaging manner. They will certainly be longer than daily news. However, the important thing to note is still the content of the newspaper rather than its length.
