The 112 switchboard system receives information from organizations, individuals, the 113, 114, 115 switchboard systems, and other communication systems serving the civil defense sector. The 112 switchboard is connected to the 113, 114, 115 switchboards, operating 24 hours a day. Calls from landline and mobile subscribers to the 112 phone number are free. The 112 switchboard stores all incoming calls to serve the inspection, research, and improvement of the effectiveness of civil defense activities.

Regulations on information processing of Call Center 112

The 112 switchboard operator who receives information about an incident or disaster must promptly report to the commander of the provincial military command. The provincial military command promptly notifies the presiding agency in each assigned field; at the same time, reports to the Civil Defense Command at the same level and the Office of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee. The presiding agency in each assigned field proactively coordinates with the standing agency and forces to respond, overcome and handle the situation; based on the nature and extent of the situation, in cases beyond the capacity to mobilize forces and means outside of its authority, it is necessary to promptly report to the provincial civil defense command for decision.

The operator is responsible for processing information promptly and in accordance with regulations; in case of slow or incorrect processing of information, depending on the extent of damage, they will be handled according to the provisions of law. Organizations and individuals who intentionally provide false information about incidents and disasters will also be handled according to the nature and extent of the damage according to the provisions of law.
