Ha Long City launches Tree Planting Festival 2025

On the morning of February 4, Ha Long City launched the Tree Planting Festival "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho in the Spring of At Ty 2025". Comrade Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, attended the launching ceremony. Also attending was Comrade Vu Quyet Tien, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Ha Long City Party Committee.

The launching ceremony of the 2025 Spring Tree Planting Festival was held by Ha Long City at the meteorological hill area, Bai Chay ward - one of many areas damaged by fallen trees after storm No. 3 ( Yagi ). At the ceremony, more than 2,000 Lagerstroemia, Royal Poinciana, Bauhinia combined with Lat Hoa and pine trees were planted on an area of over 1.6 hectares, to restore the forest area damaged by the storm, and at the same time create a landscape for the area.

Along with the launching of the Tree Planting Festival at the meteorological hill (Bai Chay ward), all 31 communes and wards of Ha Long city today also organized the Tree Planting Festival "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho, Spring At Ty 2025", creating a widespread tree planting movement throughout the city.

The types of trees planted by Ha Long City this time include lim, lat, giổi, urban green trees, multi-purpose shade trees, contributing to the formation of large timber forests, contributing to "greening" forests and urban roads, campuses of agencies, units, schools, cultural houses, industrial parks, clusters, concentrated residential areas... Ha Long City strives to plant over 21,500 hectares of forest by 2025.
