The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just submitted a document to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council on promulgating a list of investment projects under the public-private partnership (PPP) method in the fields of healthcare, education and training, sports and culture.
Accordingly, based on the selection criteria, Ho Chi Minh City identified 41 projects, including 12 education and training projects, 6 health projects and 23 cultural and sports projects that need to be focused on implementation.
Some projects in the health sector include the construction of a service examination and treatment area in Zone 2 of Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital, District 5, with a scale of 300 beds, 4 basements, 15 upper floors, total investment of 3,500 billion VND. The project to build a stroke hospital in Ho Chi Minh City in Thu Duc City with a scale of 500 beds, total investment of 1,200 billion VND... The expected contract type is BOT.
In the field of education, the main projects are to build schools from kindergarten to high school in District 7, District 8, District 12, Binh Tan, Binh Chanh District, Thu Duc City. These include large-scale projects such as Le Loi Primary School in Binh Tan District with a total investment of 285 billion VND, Phong Phu Primary School in Binh Chanh District with a total investment of 457 billion VND, and a kindergarten in District 8 with an investment of 491 billion VND...
In the field of culture and sports, there are many projects with total investment of 1,000 billion VND or more, all located in Thu Duc City. Such as the project to build a new tennis stadium and outdoor tennis court complex (1,000 billion VND); the project to build a new swimming pool complex for competition and practice (1,000 billion VND).
Project to build a new main stadium with a track and field in Thu Duc City (7,000 billion VND). Project to build a new cycling stadium with a motorbike racing track and an outdoor football field (4,000 billion VND). Project to build a new multi-purpose sports stadium (3,000 billion VND). Project to build a new track and field stadium (1,500 billion VND). Project to build a new football academy and a cluster of 6 outdoor football training fields (1,000 billion VND).
This list was issued by Ho Chi Minh City to encourage and invite investors to participate in research and implementation under the PPP method. Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee proposes that during the implementation process, based on the urgency of the projects, the interest of investors and the ability to balance the Ho Chi Minh City budget, specialized management departments proactively and flexibly propose to Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to consider investing under the public investment method or other suitable forms. At the same time, submit to Ho Chi Minh City People's Council for consideration to supplement this list.
These contents will be submitted by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council for consideration and decision at the year-end meeting, scheduled to take place next week.
