Pain is one of the most common cancer symptoms that can occur at night.

“Although there are many other causes of night pain besides cancer, there are some signs that can help us identify and differentiate,” Dr. Lee said.

Accordingly, this expert said that one of the signs that helps us recognize that the pain may be caused by cancer is that it is often worse at night, when you go to sleep, and is completely unrelated to other injuries.

In addition to unexplained night pain, cancer patients may also experience other symptoms such as loss of appetite, weight loss, malaise, fatigue, nausea or fever.

Explaining why cancer-related pain is often more severe at night, Dr. Lee explained that cancer cells often grow faster at this time, making the body more weak.

“Also, when you lie down, this changes the weight distribution of the tumor and surrounding tissues. Therefore, it is also likely to cause pain,” Dr. Lee added.

This expert also recommends that if there is any unusual pain in any part of the body that cannot be explained, especially when this pain persists for 3 weeks or more, people should see a doctor soon for a health check.
