North Korea plans to launch three military spy satellites in 2024.

On December 31, the Korean Central News Agency ( KCNA ) reported that North Korea aims to launch three more military reconnaissance satellites in 2024, following the successful launch of the country's first military reconnaissance satellite last month.
According to KCNA , North Korean leader Kim Jong-un set the above goal when he summarized the five-day plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
The news agency stated: “Based on the experience of successfully launching and operating the first reconnaissance satellite in 2023... the mission to launch three more reconnaissance satellites in 2024 has been announced and comprehensive measures to promote the development of space science and technology are being discussed.”
Previously, on November 21, North Korea successfully launched a military reconnaissance satellite, named Malligyong-1, into orbit after two previous failed test launches in May and August.
There are suspicions that the country may receive technological assistance from Russia in exchange for Pyongyang supplying weapons to Moscow for use in Russia's military campaign in Ukraine.
Also according to KCNA , Mr. Kim Jong-un said that he would no longer consider South Korea as a partner for reconciliation and unification, while emphasizing that Seoul considered North Korea as its main enemy.
The news agency quoted the leader as saying that the Workers' Party of Korea concluded that unification with South Korea was impossible.
