Youth of Nam Can Tho University - "Lighting the fire" of volunteering at the border

(CTO) - From July 15 to July 20, the Faculty of Business Administration - Marketing and the An Giang Student Union (Nam Can Tho University) launched the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign in Ba Chuc commune, An Giang province, with the theme: "Youth of the border - Lighting the fire of volunteerism".

Students learned about the history and indomitable fighting spirit of our army and people in the southwestern border war.

The campaign has a profound educational meaning about the tradition of patriotism, raising awareness of protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland's borders. Through practical experiences, young people understand more about the lives of people in the border areas, thereby fostering a spirit of dedication and responsibility to the community and the country.

With the spirit of volunteerism and community responsibility, the volunteer "soldiers" have carried out many practical and meaningful projects and tasks, contributing to improving people's lives and preserving the beauty of the border area.

Typical examples include the project “Border Light - Protecting the Homeland” (installing a solar-powered lighting system on the border route, ensuring security and traffic safety for people); the project “National Flagpole - Border Pride” (installing a national flagpole in front of people's houses, contributing to honoring the sacred image of the Fatherland).

At the same time, many meaningful activities were organized: the program "Border Heart - Warm Human Love" (visiting and giving gifts to policy families and households in difficult circumstances); summer activities with the theme "Prevention of drowning" for local children; giving mobile bottle containers to farmers, to raise awareness of environmental protection in agricultural production.

Total value of works and work is more than 50 million VND.

Youth Union of Nam Can Tho University presented the project to Ba Chuc Commune Union, An Giang province.
