U.23 Malaysia won a resounding 7-1 victory over U.23 Brunei, thereby keeping alive the hope of getting a ticket to the semi-finals of the 2025 Southeast Asian U.23 tournament.

On the afternoon of July 18, the U.23 Malaysia team faced U.23 Brunei in the second match of Group A - U.23 Southeast Asia 2025 tournament. Previously, U.23 Malaysia suffered a shocking 0-2 defeat to U.23 Philippines in the opening match on July 15.
