After winning 3-1 against U22 Myanmar and winning the bronze medal in men's football at the 32nd SEA Games, U22 Vietnam received a bonus of 800 million VND from the VFF.

U22 Vietnam received a big bonus even though they couldn't win the gold medal at the 32nd SEA Games.

U22 Vietnam only won bronze medal at SEA Games 32

Previously, coach Troussier and his team were also rewarded with up to 1.6 billion VND after winning matches in the group stage.

Thus, just counting the bonus from VFF, U22 Vietnam has 2.4 billion VND.

In addition, according to state regulations, with the bronze medal in men's football, 20 players and 5 members of the coaching staff of U22 Vietnam will be awarded an additional 20 million VND/person.

However, in reality, the 5 assistants only received 60% of the bonus for the bronze medal, the remaining 40% was divided among local coaches who trained the players.

At the 32nd SEA Games, U22 Vietnam failed to defend the gold medal when they lost to U22 Indonesia in the semi-finals, the team that later won the championship.

However, finishing third overall is not too disappointing a result for the red team.

In this tournament, coach Troussier used many players from the U20 age group.

In addition, this is also the first official tournament of U22 Vietnam under the French coach.

According to plan, on the afternoon of May 17, U22 Vietnam will take a flight back to Ho Chi Minh City and the group of players in the North will move to Hanoi that same evening.
