From drone footage of vast terraced fields, to delicious street food, or trips to the forest and sea, TikTokers around the world are taking advantage of this trend to celebrate the beauty of Vietnam through short, fast, intense but impressive videos.

“Vietnam calls, we answer!”

Among the most prominent videos of this trend, Jihane and Julian from the account @tripsofjj attracted more than 117,000 views with a short clip recording their journey through Vietnam.

From Bui Vien walking street in Ho Chi Minh City, experiencing basket boats in Hoi An, walking on Dragon Bridge in Da Nang, visiting natural landscapes in Ninh Binh to poetic terraced fields in Sa Pa, all wrapped up in a short 8-second video that is captivating, urging people to travel right away!

The video, captioned “Vietnam calls, we answer!” also features dishes they enjoyed in the S-shaped country, such as banh mi, goi cuon, and ca phe sua.

Responding to viewers' comments, they revealed that this was their second time in Vietnam and "will definitely come back".

Another video from the account @parmersss is even shorter, only 6 seconds, but has "caused a storm" with more than 3.2 million views.

This video simply captures two tourists dancing at the airport with passports in hand, eagerly preparing for their trip to Vietnam.

Some other trending videos appear to be by Vietnamese people, bringing international friends back to visit their homeland, with captions like “Motherland is calling us back.”

Vietnam: An "irresistible" invitation

“There are so many beautiful landscapes and cultures to explore in Vietnam, that's what we came for!”, Jihane and Julian wrote in the comments section of their popular TikTok video.

In another comment, they added: “Vietnam makes us happy!”.

When a viewer asked, “How did you feel about traveling to Vietnam?”, they replied, “I felt like I should stay. I was happy with everything I saw and the hospitality of the people here. I was so sad to leave.”

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, thanks to a flexible visa policy and effective tourism promotion and stimulus activities, the tourism industry welcomed nearly 10.7 million international visitors in the first half of this year, completing nearly 49% of the growth target for the whole year 2025.

From August 15, 2023, Vietnam will issue e-visas to citizens of all countries and territories, allowing stays of up to 90 days and multiple entries.

Meanwhile, citizens of 13 countries with unilateral visa exemptions can stay in Vietnam for up to 45 days.

In an article titled “10 reasons why you love Vietnam” posted on its official website, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has reviewed the factors that make international tourists fall in love with Vietnam.

The list includes exceptional cuisine, warm and hardworking people, diverse destinations, addictive coffee culture, unique natural scenery, rich history present in every corner, spectacular road trips, dynamic young cities, true adventures, and especially safety when traveling here.

Of course, no list can fully describe Vietnam in the eyes of every tourist.

In the age of social media, trends like “Vietnam is calling” are helping to spread the beauty of everyday life through short moments that touch emotions. It could be a hot bowl of pho, a quiet mountain road, or a friendly smile from a stranger.

Through each short video, Vietnam is not just “calling,” but connecting. The country is still calling, and the world is listening.
