On the afternoon of June 4, Dr. Tran Thanh Tung, Director of Cho Ray Hospital, said that two victims in the jealousy-fueled arson attack in Dong Nai had died.

Among them, the man NTH (46 years old) died at 10 pm on June 3. By the morning of June 4, the male patient DTA (15 years old) also passed away. These two victims were hospitalized on the morning of June 3 with a diagnosis of very severe and deep burns covering 90% of their bodies, and were monitored for respiratory burns.
According to Dr. Tran Thanh Tung, upon admission, doctors predicted that the victim's condition was very serious, and performed resuscitation and airway endoscopy right at the Emergency Department. The patient was then transferred to the Burn and Plastic Surgery Department at Cho Ray Hospital, but his condition gradually worsened.
Currently, hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City are treating 5 victims related to the arson due to jealousy that left 7 people injured. Among them, there is a female patient NTKT (33 years old) being treated at Cho Ray Hospital, with burns on 10% of her body along with respiratory burns. The prognosis for this case is reserved because respiratory burns often progress severely.
Children's Hospital 1 (HCMC) is actively treating two 13-year-old patients, VMK (male) who was admitted to the hospital in a state of shock, with cool limbs, rapid and weak pulse, blood pressure difficult to measure, diagnosed with 3rd-4th degree gasoline burns covering about 90% of the body, and VNA (female) who was also admitted to the hospital in a state of shock, with 3rd-4th degree gasoline burns covering 80%. Doctors are actively treating the two patients, putting them on ventilators, anti-shock, antibiotics, and bronchial lavage.
Children's Hospital 2 treated two patients (15 years old and 13 years old) with severe burns and poor prognosis.
As reported by SGGP newspaper, on the morning of June 3, rooms 3 and 10 (with 11 people living in them) in a row of rooms in Phuoc Binh commune, Long Thanh district caught fire.
According to Long Thanh District Police, initial investigation determined that NTH in room number 10 set the fire out of jealousy.
