The Long An Half Marathon 2024 is organized by Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company (HoSE: CTD) in collaboration with Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Long An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the coordinating unit - Dong Tam Joint Stock Company in Can Giuoc District (Long An Province). The tournament attracts 3,650 athletes to compete in distances of 21 km, 10 km and 5 km.

In the 21 km event starting at 3 pm, the hot weather was a big challenge for the athletes, even the top athletes in Vietnam such as national marathon champion Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa ( Binh Phuoc ). She had no worthy opponents when completing 21 km at the Long An Half Marathon 2024 with a time of 1 hour 27 minutes 07 seconds. Leaving the runner-up more than 5 minutes behind, Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa said this was not a good achievement for herself because she had to divide her strength when competing in hot weather.
Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa and Pham Ngoc Phan are sponsored to participate in Laguna Phuket Marathon 2025 in Thailand.
In the men's 21 km event, the winner was athlete Pham Ngoc Phan with a time of 1 hour 16 minutes 02 seconds. He and Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa were awarded special prizes by the organizers, including plane tickets and tickets to participate in the Laguna Phuket Marathon taking place in Thailand in 2025.
In the men's 10 km event, Pham Tien San finished first after 34 minutes and 41 seconds of competition while Pham Thi Thuy Hanh won the women's 10 km event with a time of 42 minutes and 31 seconds. In the men's 5 km event, the winner was athlete Le Huu Loc with a time of 17 minutes and 02 seconds while Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan finished first in the women's 5 km event with a time of 20 minutes and 13 seconds.
