Nui Thanh Commune develops seaport and logistics

In Nui Thanh commune, the Tam Quang fishing port logistics and seafood trade service area has been invested on a large scale in the region, creating many jobs for people, quickly connecting from the fishing and farming chain to the place of consumption, contributing to increasing the value of the local seafood industry.

Chu Lai - Truong Hai port, logistics and duty-free area was invested by Thaco and put into operation since 2014. Up to now, the occupancy rate has reached 47%, with the ability to receive ships with a capacity of up to 20,000DWT.

Since its operation, Chu Lai - Truong Hai port has played an important role as the logistics center of the Central and Central Highlands regions; growing at an average of 25% per year, reaching a designed capacity of 4 million tons per year from 2023.

The An Hoa fishing boat shelter area in Dong An village, Nui Thanh commune has been invested with more than 3 billion VND to upgrade it to a capacity of 30 boats. The fishing boat shelter area in Phuoc Loc village, Nui Thanh commune has been invested with 2 billion VND to upgrade it to a capacity of 50 boats, creating favorable conditions for fishing boats in the locality and neighboring areas to anchor and take shelter from storms.
