On February 9, authorities are investigating and clarifying the cause of the accident that killed 3 people in Binh Minh ward, Lao Cai city, Lao Cai province.
According to a security camera of a local resident, the accident occurred at around 1:19 a.m. the same day, on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, through Group 3, Binh Minh Ward, Lao Cai City.

At that time, a group of motorbikes were revving their engines and speeding on Vo Nguyen Giap Street. One of them, a motorbike with license plate 18GA-098.xx carrying 3 people, was heading towards Lao Cai City. When going to Lao Cai Central Bus Station, the driver lost control of his speed and crashed into a tree on the sidewalk on the left side of the road. The strong collision caused the 3 people on the motorbike to be thrown onto the road and died on the spot.
The victims were identified as THH (19 years old, living in Tien Cuong village, Thong Nhat commune, Lao Cai city), LH (from Nam Dinh) and an unidentified young man.
