The dormitory center of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has terminated the 2023-2024 rental contract with a student. The reason for this student's termination of the contract according to this notice is that he watched an obscene film, which violates Section B, Section III, Point 3.22 of the disciplinary regulations.

Students must hand over their property to the dormitory before 11:00 a.m. on December 31, 2023 and move out of the dormitory from January 1, 2024.

The dormitory of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology is located at 497 Hoa Hao, Ward 7, District 10, and is the largest and most modern dormitory in Vietnam in 2010. The total construction area is about 38,000 m2 with an investment cost of more than 120 billion VND. Room rates include 2 types: 550,000 VND/person/month and 800,000 VND/person/month.

According to the dormitory regulations of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, students are prohibited from using drugs and addictive substances, betting, gambling, playing cards, online gambling games, watching reactionary and depraved movies and documents, using weapons, sharp knives...

According to the regulations of the Dormitory Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, disciplinary action will include reprimands, warnings, and forced eviction from the dormitory when violating 3 times or more or serious violations, aggravating circumstances.

Mr. Tran Tan Phuc, Director of the Dormitory Service Center, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, said that when students sign a contract to rent a place to live, the contract already has a number of regulations and requirements that must not be violated. This student violated the rules in the dormitory, and despite being reminded by his friends, he still did not change. According to the regulations, the dormitory management board terminated the contract.

Mr. Phuc said that living in a group will have more constraints than living in a private room.

" It is normal for students to violate the contract and terminate it, it is not serious, but this may make many students curious so they share the information," he added.
