Vietnam women's volleyball team meets China in the semi-finals.

This is the first time the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has entered the semi-finals of the Asian Championship. The other three teams in this round are also the three strongest teams in the continent: China, Japan and Thailand. Compared to these opponents, the Vietnamese women's team is still inferior in many ways.

The Vietnamese women's team had an impressive journey in the Asian championship. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team won all the matches in the first round against opponents Korea, Uzbekistan and Taiwan (China). In the second round, the Vietnamese women's team beat Australia and lost to Thailand, finishing second in the group.

Meanwhile, China cruised through the first round without dropping a set. They won 3-0 against Hong Kong (China), the Philippines and Kazakhstan. In the second round, the team continued to win all of their matches - most impressively in the match that decided the top spot in the group against Japan.

On the world women's volleyball rankings, the Chinese team is ranked 5th and is the top team in Asia. Obviously, this is a completely superior opponent to the Vietnamese women's team. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team cannot avoid defeat.

However, this means that the Vietnamese women's team entered the match with a relaxed mentality and without the pressure of expectations. This is a good opportunity for Thanh Thuy and her teammates to compete with world-class opponents and learn from their experiences.
