Love your homeland in your own way

Love for the homeland and country is being expressed by young people today in many different ways. For Mr. Nguyen Quoc Bao (Buon Ma Thuot City), from his passion for photography, he has expressed his love for his homeland and people through extremely meaningful activities.

Since he was in school, Bao has often participated in volunteer activities. Traveling to many places, to many difficult areas, Bao saw children and even adults who had never had their photo taken.

At that time, Mr. Bao immediately thought of taking pictures for the students as... souvenirs. Later, when he opened a photography studio, Mr. Bao immediately started the activity "Yearbook for you" for free for poor students.

He often integrates this program into volunteer activities of other volunteer teams and groups such as "Spring Library", "Rainbow Library"... when organizing volunteer activities at schools.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Bao took "Yearbook for you" photos at an elementary school in the province.

Mr. Bao shared that, up to now, he has done 12 issues of "Yearbook for you", each issue he took photos for an average of 30-60 poor students. At first, he thought it would be quite difficult because he had to do everything by himself, from preparing shirts and hats, to taking photos, post-processing... But luckily, with the support of many volunteers in charity groups and teachers at schools, Mr. Bao's job gradually became just to focus on taking photos.

The 12 issues of "Yearbook for You" have brought Bao a lot of emotions, giving him more motivation to prepare for the next issues. Nong Hong Tue (5B grade student, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Primary School, Cu M'gar Commune, Cu M'gar District) was very excited to be supported in taking yearbook photos, then anxiously waited for the photos to be delivered to her. Tue confided that this was the first time she had taken such a beautiful photo. She will bring this photo home to hang.

Following the success of the program "Yearbook for you", Mr. Bao cherishes the idea of carrying out photography projects at famous tourist destinations in the province to contribute to introducing and promoting Dak Lak tourism to many friends at home and abroad. Mr. Bao said that every year, he usually has a number of photo sets taken at tourist destinations such as Lak Lake, Elephant Rock Mountain... but those are just small photo sets, not having much influence. This summer 2025, he will carry out a project of taking photos and filming videos throughout locations such as Nga Sau, Provincial Museum, Trung Nguyen Coffee Village... with costumes of the Ede, M'nong, Thai, Ba Na, Tay, Dao, H'Mong people.

The photo and clip sets in this project are supported by many units from models, costumes, makeup... while he takes photos and does post-production. In the near future, he will post photos and clips on Facebook, TikTok, photography and tourism community groups to introduce a Buon Ma Thuot in particular, Dak Lak in general, as beautiful, gentle, elegant, dynamic and rich in identity. From these meaningful activities, Mr. Bao hopes to contribute a small part to further promote Dak Lak tourism development.
