Storm No. 4 unlikely to return to the East Sea

It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, storm No. 4 will continue to move mainly in the Northeast direction and is unlikely to return to the East Sea.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 1:00 p.m. on July 25, the center of the storm was located at about 19.8 degrees North latitude; 121 degrees East longitude in the sea north of Luzon Island (Philippines).

The strongest wind near the storm center is level 8-9 (62-88 km/h), gusting to level 11; moving in the North Northeast direction at a speed of about 20-25 km/h.

It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, storm No. 4 will continue to move mainly in the Northeast direction and is unlikely to return to the East Sea.

In addition, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting reported that through monitoring satellite images and weather radar images, convective clouds are developing in the areas of the following wards/communes: O Dien, Hoai Duc, Tay Tuu, Thuong Cat, Duong Noi, Kien Hung, Ha Dong, Tuong Mai, Hoang Mai, Vinh Tuy, Phuc Son, Hong Son, My Duc and Huong Son. These convective cloud areas tend to develop and expand towards the inner city of Hanoi .

From now until about 3:45 p.m. on July 25, the wards of Dai Mo, Thanh Xuan, Thanh Liet, Phu Dien, Dong Ngac, Tu Liem, Bach Mai, Kim Lien, ... will have showers and thunderstorms.

The thunderstorm area is likely to continue to expand to other wards in Hanoi's inner city, with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind during the rain.

Warning level 1 of natural disaster risk due to tornadoes, lightning, and hail.

Faced with the above weather conditions, Head of Weather Forecast Department, National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting Nguyen Van Huong warned that thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind pose a potential risk to people's lives and property.

Tornadoes often occur with strong thunderstorms. When there is a thunderstorm warning, people should take shelter in safe places in solidly built structures./.
