Green, clean and beautiful hospital is the honor of a doctor
Let's consider green, clean and beautiful not only as a task but also as a mission of the health sector. Each hospital needs to become a healing environment, where patients are not only treated but also find faith and hope. Let's work together to improve the quality of medical services in each hospital.
Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan emphasized this at the award ceremony of the first "Green, clean, beautiful medical facility" contest on the evening of August 7 in Hanoi.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital was awarded the first prize for Green, Clean, Beautiful Hospital.

Emphasizing that a "green" medical facility is not only a landscape, but also a sustainable development mindset, energy saving practices and reduction of plastic waste, the Minister of Health requested that a "clean" medical facility is a safe environment, minimizing the risk of infection, protecting the health of the people and of the doctors and medical staff themselves.
The Minister of Health also affirmed that a "beautiful" medical facility is not just aesthetic, but a healing space, a place where patients feel their physical pain is soothed by peace of mind. That is comprehensive care, reflected in the commitment of the medical sector to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, and increase patient satisfaction.
Previously, from August 2024 to May 2025, the first "Green, clean, beautiful medical facility" contest organized by the Ministry of Health with the support of the Long Chau pharmacy and vaccination system received the participation of 2,000 public and private medical facilities in 34 provinces and cities.
Together with the jury scoring green, clean, and beautiful according to the criteria of the Ministry of Health, nearly 350,000 patients, their families, and people contributed their opinions, thereby, medical units have made substantial changes "towards patient satisfaction".
This award honors 20 typical medical facilities for 5 competing groups: central to communal health care and private health care. Among the central public hospitals, the first prize was awarded to Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital. Tam Anh Hospital won the first prize in the private health sector.
