On August 27, Mr. Luong Thanh Trung, Vice Chairman of Chau Thang Commune People's Committee (Quy Chau District, Nghe An ) said that the authorities found the body of LTV (8 years old, living in the same locality).
"Authorities and local people searched all night along the Hieu River. It was raining, the river water was muddy, high and flowing fast, making the search difficult. At nearly 9am today (August 27), we found the child's body, about 200m from the accident site," said Mr. Luong Thanh Trung.

As reported by Dan Tri , at around 2:30 p.m. on August 26, LTV was riding his bicycle across the spillway bridge in the area and unfortunately fell into the Hieu River. Although he was rescued by local people, the river water was strong and the current was strong, so V. was swept away.
Immediately after receiving the information, Chau Thang Commune People's Committee mobilized hundreds of people including police, military , militia... and people to organize the search.
It is known that V.'s parents do not live together, and he is being cared for and raised by his grandparents. Local authorities and mass organizations are supporting the family in organizing V.'s funeral.
