Commander of Lai Tien Giang Provincial Military Command inspects the operation of two-level local government in four mountainous communes

On July 14, in Meo Vac commune, the provincial working delegation led by Colonel Lai Tien Giang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, had a working session with leaders of 4 communes: Meo Vac, Tat Nga, Khau Vai and Sung Mang to survey and inspect the operation of the localities after implementing the two-level local government model.

At the meeting, the leaders of the communes reported on the overall situation of organization and operation after implementing the new model. In general, the communes have promptly stabilized the apparatus, assigned cadres to be in charge of specific fields, maintained administrative management activities, received and processed procedures for citizens in accordance with regulations. The work of Party building, consolidating the political system, developing the socio-economy, ensuring national defense and security continues to be focused on and strengthened.

However, the operation of the new model in the communes also encountered some difficulties such as: Information technology equipment and inter-connected software applications at the Public Administration Service Center are still lacking, outdated, and not synchronized; some working offices are degraded and not guaranteed. Some communes still lack specialized staff, not meeting the job requirements in the new period.

Localities proposed that the province pay attention to organizing professional training for commune cadres; promptly issue policies to mobilize and arrange competent cadres to take on vacant positions; promptly support funding to upgrade and repair the offices of Khau Vai, Tat Nga and Sung Mang communes.

Speaking at the meeting, Commander of the Provincial Military Command Lai Tien Giang highly appreciated the efforts of the communes in quickly adapting to the new management model. He also requested the communes to continue to overcome difficulties, change their mindset in leadership, direction, and implementation of tasks, especially changing their working status and mindset from administrative to serving the people, close to the people; carefully review the goals and targets for 2025 after the merger to find solutions to complete according to plan; proactively prepare well for the conditions to organize the Party Congress of the commune for the term 2025-2030. Regarding the suggestions and recommendations of the communes, Comrade Lai Tien Giang, on behalf of the working delegation, received and synthesized reports to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee for consideration and resolution.

During the working program, the Commander of the Provincial Military Command and the working delegation inspected and surveyed the actual activities in Meo Vac, Tat Nga, Khau Vai and Sung Mang communes. At the same time, they surveyed the training ground of the Defense Command of Region I in Meo Vac commune to serve the training preparation and building a solid defense posture in the area.

On this occasion, the Commander of the Provincial Military Command presented 6 gifts to 6 policy families in the communes of Meo Vac, Tat Nga, Khau Vai and Sung Mang on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025). At the same time, 4 sets of computers were presented to the communes, each worth 15 million VND.
