According to Catalunya Radio , Messi is close to signing a contract extension with Inter Miami that will run until 2028. If the deal goes through, Messi will turn 41 in the final year of his contract at the American club.
Messi's current contract with Inter Miami will expire at the end of the 2025 MLS season. The agreement includes a 12-month extension clause, giving him the opportunity to participate in the 2026 World Cup in the United States.
Messi's future has been a big question mark for some time now, although he has always admitted to the press that he is very satisfied with his life in the US. Teams in the Saudi Pro League and his old club Newell's Old Boys have been considered Messi's next destination.
