After receiving a report from the people about the unusual death of baby Oi (2 years old, not yet named because the birth certificate had not been issued), the Thanh Hoa Commune Police, Bu Dop District ( Binh Phuoc ) came to record the incident.

Upon inspection, the commune police discovered that the boy’s body showed signs of external force, so they reported the matter to the district police. The Bu Dop district police also reported the incident to the Binh Phuoc Provincial Police Department.

Immediately afterwards, the professional units of Binh Phuoc Provincial Police and Bu Dop District Police conducted an autopsy on the victim and invited Nguyen Thanh Tuan to work.

Through an autopsy, authorities determined that the victim suffered external force to the head and abdomen. Tuan admitted that after giving the baby milk, he beat the baby for being naughty.

Previously, VOV reported that on August 21, Nguyen Thanh Tuan stayed home to take care of baby Oi (stepchild of Ms. Tran Thi Thu X) at his private house in Hamlet 6, Thanh Hoa Commune, Bu Dop District.

That evening, Ms. X saw Tuan carrying baby Oi running to work (100m from home) and saying that the baby was "vomiting milk", so everyone together gave first aid to the baby.

Seeing that their child was purple, Tuan and his mistress took him to the emergency room, but the child died at the clinic. Before the unusual death of baby Oi, the people reported it to the police.
