On the evening of January 20, IDECAF Drama Theater premiered the comedy "Gold, Oh Gold" (author Nguyen Quoc, director Hung Lam).

This is the script that was staged and achieved high revenue called "The Golden Box" 20 years ago.

And when producer Huynh Anh Tuan decided to re-stage this satirical comedy and include it in the repertoire for the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, many audiences responded enthusiastically.

Now rehearsing, director Hung Lam has invested a lot to integrate the core message of the script into the rhythm of today's era.

The difference in the form of staging from scenery, music , lighting is also the young cast replacing the positions of veteran artists who once performed in the play "The Golden Tray" such as: Thanh Loc, Huu Chau, Thanh Thuy, Tu Trinh, Tuan Khoi, Hoang Trinh...

New drama has a class of artists who are well-trained or self-trained with high quality, who are currently famous names of the IDECAF Drama Theater box office such as: Dai Nghia, Dinh Toan, Hong Anh, Quoc Thinh, Quang Thao, Hoa Hiep, Phi Nga...

It was the diversity in their performances that helped the play "Golden Oi Gold" be well received by the audience.

In particular, in the folk comedy inspired by a foreign work, the two roles of Ong Ca Khiet played by Dinh Toan and Chuot played by Dai Nghia made the audience laugh out loud with their subtle and intelligent acting.

Besides, there is also strong support from Quoc Thinh (as Chung), Phi Nga (as Ms. Bep), Tra Ngoc (as Thuy), Hoai Trang (as Hau), Hong Anh (as matchmaker Duyen), Quang Thao (as Mr. Chanh).

Because the script was adapted from a foreign play and had the plot drawn by previous generations of artists, the generation of actors participating in the play "Gold, Oh Gold" was able to unleash many new creations.

They made each performance sublime, bringing laughter about the story of Mr. Ca Kiet, who was stingy and valued gold and silver but forgot that his greatest asset was his children.
