Two Astronauts Stay Upbeat Despite Being Stuck in Space

Tạp chí Doanh NghiệpTạp chí Doanh Nghiệp09/01/2025

DNVN - On January 8, two astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, despite being stuck on the International Space Station (ISS) for many months, said they did not feel abandoned and were still provided with enough necessary food.

In a call with NASA officials, Williams said she was in good spirits despite being in space longer than expected. She said she was happy to be working on the ISS and did not feel isolated. Wilmore also sounded positive about the living conditions, saying food and a safe environment were guaranteed.

In June 2024, the two astronauts arrived at the ISS on Boeing's Starliner, with the mission scheduled to last only eight days. However, they were "stuck" due to a technical problem with the Starliner. NASA had originally planned to return them to Earth in February 2025, but the schedule has changed. The next flight, codenamed Crew-10, is expected to launch in March 2025 at the earliest.

The two astronauts' stay under the new plan will be extended by at least one more month, bringing their total time at the ISS to nearly 10 months.
