The Prime Minister decided to appoint Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc , member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Commander of Military Region 5, to hold the position of Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc was born in 1966; hometown is Cam Le district, Da Nang city.

He used to work at the Dak Nong Provincial Military Command. He worked for many years in Military Region 5, holding the positions of Deputy Commander of Military Region 5; Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 5.

In November 2018, he became Director of the Operations Department, General Staff. In October 2020, he became Commander of Military Region 5. At the 13th National Congress of the Party, Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc was elected as a member of the Party Central Committee.

He used to work at the Nam Dinh Provincial Military Command. He worked for many years in Military Region 3, holding the positions of Deputy Commander of Military Region 3; Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 3; Commander of Military Region 3.

At the 13th National Congress of the Party, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc was elected as a member of the Party Central Committee.
