"Currently, we have completed preparations for the new season, most recently the Super Cup match tomorrow. Recently, the club has focused on improving physical strength with training sessions in Phu Yen and Korea. The team played three quality friendly matches, thereby completing the necessary professional areas. The players are working very seriously to be ready to enter the season. We will keep the cup," coach Vu Hong Viet shared at a press conference before the National Super Cup match on the afternoon of August 8.
Regarding personnel, he said the team from Thanh Nam added a number of new faces, notably central defender Van Toi, midfielder A Mit and three foreign players. "These are players with expertise suitable for the playing style I am building. As for tomorrow's lineup, you will know when you enter the field," coach Vu Hong Viet continued.
Assessing the pressure before the match, the coach born in 1979 said that this is inevitable. "Each tournament, each match has its own pressure. But when overcoming the pressure, success shines. Therefore, before each tournament and each match, we always focus to the maximum, try our best to complete the set goals well."
For his part, goalkeeper Tran Nguyen Manh commented that CAHN is a very strong opponent: "They have many quality additions. The 0-3 loss last year was a big lesson for us.
