Support and accompany the startup business community

DNO - Piloting new policies and technologies in real environments; facilitating access to and use of infrastructure; focusing on attracting talent... are notable proposals from the startup community, technology enterprises, investment funds and incubators during a working session with Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Quang Buu, which took place on the afternoon of July 17 at the Da Nang Center for Supporting Innovative Startups.

According to the Danang Center for Supporting Innovative Startups, the working session aims to strengthen the connection between the city government and the startup community.

At the same time, update orientations and policies to support startups; record difficulties and obstacles of startups and propose solutions to promote the development of an innovative startup ecosystem in Da Nang.

At the meeting, representatives of business incubators, investment funds, startups, etc. proactively raised issues related to policy mechanisms, technology testing infrastructure, access to investment funds, and proposed that the city should have more realistic support policies for each stage of startup development.

Some notable recommendations were made such as: the city should prioritize the use of technology products developed by local startups; allow pilot implementation of new technology solutions and policies in practical environments; universities and colleges need to establish startup investment funds for students; and have mechanisms to attract and retain talent through policies to support housing, transportation, healthcare,education , etc.

Listening to the contributions and suggestions of the startup and innovation business community, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Quang Buu acknowledged and said that he will accompany and create favorable conditions to support startups and businesses in implementing projects, piloting them in the city and removing obstacles, creating development momentum.

At the same time, the City People's Committee Office is assigned to coordinate with the Department of Science and Technology to synthesize recommendations and propose specific solutions to report in the next working session.

The meeting not only opened a space for open and substantive dialogue between the government and the startup community, but also marked an important step forward in the journey of building the Danang startup ecosystem.

This is a practical step to develop an open, dynamic, business-centric startup ecosystem, with innovation as the driving force and cooperation as the foundation.
