MM Mega Market Vietnam has implemented storm prevention and control plans and increased resources to ensure the supply of essential goods to the Northern and North Central regions - areas forecast to be directly affected by storm No. 3.

With the goal of not letting people run out of goods during the storm, MM Mega Market has proactively increased the reserve of essential goods by about 30-50% compared to normal.

The increased product groups include: Food, beverages, personal hygiene products... For the fruit and vegetable group, MM Mega Market has worked with suppliers to increase the quantity by 1.5 times compared to normal. The group of dried food, oil lamps, and candles is enough to meet the sudden increase in demand by 2.5 times.

Centers in the Northern and North Central regions including: MM Mega Market Ha Long (Quang Ninh), MM Mega Market Hong Bang (Hai Phong), MM Mega Market Vinh (Nghe An), MM Mega Market Thang Long, Thanh Xuan, Ha Dong, Hoang Mai (Hanoi), Depot Thanh Hoa, Depot Dong Hoi ( Quang Binh ) have activated plans to prevent and fight storms and floods.

These centers are covered, arranged for goods to be moved; roofs, canopies and infrastructure are reinforced; electrical systems, backup generators are checked, fuel is reserved for generators in case of power outage; sandbags are arranged to prevent flooding.

In addition, the centers have established crisis response boards, with forces ready to be on duty 24/7. All activities are carried out with the highest goal: Ensuring the safety of customers, employees, assets, goods and maintaining continuous and stable operations.

On the morning of July 20 and 21, the number of customers coming to the shopping centers increased compared to usual. However, there was no jostling or over-buying.

According to MM Mega Market representative, all MM Mega Market centers in Hanoi , Hai Phong, Vinh, Quang Ninh, Quang Binh and Thanh Hoa still maintain normal operations, ensuring the supply chain of essential goods is smooth and safe during the time affected by storm Wipha.
